The alphabet and numbers are simple stamps that are easily made and used as applicators for CrayolaŽ Latex Eggshell. Divide the room with a chair rail.

Rather than divide the wall surface 50/50, for better balance use a 40/60 or 30/70 ratio with the upper wall color (that section of wall on which the letters and numbers are stamped) covering the lesser portion of total wall surface, leaving more space for the stripes.
After applying a base coat to the upper wall surface (we used White), stamp the letter or number onto the wall surface right above the chair rail. Our letters and numbers are an assortment of Candy Floss, Creamsicle, Aqua, Blue Balloon, and Easter Egg.
For houses that don't have their own wainscotting, create a similar look and warm feel with a painted stripe that shimmers in sunlight, makes a rainy day shine, and mellows moonlight. Base coat the wall with CrayolaŽ Latex Eggshell (we used Lemon Kiss). Allow to dry. Using low-tack painter's tape, mask off the stripes as outlined in CrayolaŽ #5 Stripes & Plaids Painting-Is-Easy Card and then roll your stripe color out (we used Aqua). Remove tape before paint dries.
Friendly Note: Pastels are ideal for a baby's room but consider Classics or Bolds & Brights colors for a toddler's or older child's room. The techniques of stamping and striping can be used in any room utilizing different colors and different images. For example, for a dinosaur-hugging child, consider stamping T-Rex and his friends on the wall, keeping the stripes on the lower section.
